HOW CAN SURPLUS FOOD SAVE THE PLANET? Bubble & Squeak is a kids-run social enterprise tackling food waste - using kid power to take on this big issue on a grass-roots level. For this year’s Design Week and to celebrate the innovation of Open Cell, we asked our cohort of 400 strong children: What products could we invent made out of surplus food that could help us save the planet? With money no object and unlimited imagination, we have created our own prototypes for circular-loop products. From fetching rainwear made from banana peels to a collective action counter fueled by the power of surplus food, prepared to be inspired!
