Vicky Ngari-Wilson is a SDG goals advocate and designer, with a professional background of implementing sustainability and social impact within creative ideas. She is exploring ancient indigenous crafts, converting them into contemporary fashion solutions that symbolises their communities and embodies their environmental practices, including bio-design. Her organisation @theruralretail gathers groups of women to form as sustainable fashion producers and links them to Industry. Her workshop’s in the UK teach children about protecting our planet through fashion, using recycled materials. Vicky has contributed to innovation labs, development projects and global policy platforms using her art as a diplomatic demonstration for better capacity building. Her mission is an exchange of knowledge transfer through cultural heritage in the world of Art and conservation. She began with a petition for the repatriation of stolen ancient artefacts and has been active with Britain and Frances goals to restore looted treasures.
